I am a coach myself and have been reading your blog for years and listening to the podcast since you began it – I love your work and learn so much from you. The ideas you teach are often not so much new to me, but you put them in a way that I understand and can implement into my life immediately – it’s like all the learning is done for me and I get the strategy that works.
I am a coach myself and find myself using your ideas and tools with clients…but feeling guilty for if. Am i stealing your ideas? Is this ok? I tell my clients that these are tools I have learnt from you, I suggest all of them listen to your podcast and a few of them are YLD students too…but I still feel dishonest…how do I learn from you and take this into my work without disrespecting your work??
You are not stealing anything.
What I teach is yours to share.
Thank you for telling your clients you learnt it from me.
Don’t confuse yourself.
You have a message to share.
You have people in the world that need your help.
Get out there and coach and dont waste any more time on these thoughts.
You said it yourself.
I am not a guru.
Most of what I teach is not ‘new’. I just package it in a a way that speaks to others who are perhaps similar to me.
My language and way of teaching tends to speak to entrepreneurs and professionals who are parents that value their personal life and health and want to create a business and life that they love.
You speak in a way that appeals to your niche.
Get out there my friend and share what you know to be true.
