Hi Laura, thank you for your work. This months work resonates for me in terms of my business. I have been going through some challenging times with my business partner and it looks like in the coming weeks we will have a final resolution where we go our seperate ways and I buy her out. Light at the end of the tunnel!
I was wondering, do you have any go to questions you have in the tool box for business? In terms of managing workload, clients, all the noise there is of having your own business and what can sometimes feel like overwhelm? Love to hear any that you use that I can borrow for my tool box! Thanks again.
Hi There,
So with work and overwhelm I have some thoughts and questions I go to:
Everything is easy and effortless.
What is the simple solution here?
What is the most efficient way to resolve this issue?
How can I learn from this and ensure this doesn’t happen again?
What is essential?
What is the most important item on the to do list?
What will I achieve today?
What emotions are to drive this day? Confident, articulate, efficient, excellent
What will have the biggest impact?
Then on my walks I think/ask:
What matters most to my clients?
How can I make their day better?
Where is (name of client) at right now, what would she be struggling with? (then I email…its funny all of my clients are shocked that emails arrive on the day they feel a certain way, its because I think about them, daily!)
In terms of career generally I often check in:
Is this still aligned with what is most important?
What needs to change?
What needs to remain?
What needs to stop/go?
Are the goal posts the same or have they changed for me?
How can I take this slower? (this is one I need personally, the past has taught me I need to slow down decision making – some people who are procrastinators dont need this question in their tool box)
take what resonates xx
