Question:

I keep going back and forth on doing more study next year. I am considering, like you, a masters degree. I have been accepted into a program, but keep going back and forth on it, neither decision (to do it, to delay it) feels right. How do I make this decision? It’s draining my energy!

Someone once said to me, best to not start anything new, but if you do, dont leave a mess behind.

I am not saying not to do this study.

But I like the idea that whatever you decide, you do it with conviction, and you dont leave a mess behind you.

Write down all your reasons for doing the study.
Then delete all the reasons you dont like.
Write out all your reasons for not doing the study.
Then delete all the reasons you dont like.

The decision will be clearer from there.

There are no right decisions, there is no perfect path and there are no wrong decisions other than the decision not to make one at all.

    You can do the study.
You can not do the study.
You can shelve the idea for 12 months and come back to it.
Just decide on one of these options and commit to it for at least 12 months.

    Like your reasons.
